Straight answers
Muse is free to start. Paid tiers are Power ($20/month) and Maximum ($100/month) for higher usage limits.
Muse launched in the US only (18+). Meta hasn’t announced dates for other countries — this page’s changelog tracks rollout news as it happens.
Muse asks permission before acting on your accounts, and purchases stay approval-gated. Meta has said its architecture does not prevent it from accessing data when necessary.
Muse Image opts public accounts in by default — you can opt out under Instagram Settings → Share and reuse.
Muse is an agentic assistant: it takes actions across your connected apps (books, buys, schedules). Meta AI and chatbots mostly answer questions.
Depends on the job — Muse leads on taking real-world actions across apps. Early reactions praise its generous free tier; skeptics question raw Q&A capability vs Claude/GPT.
Yes, with your approval: Muse uses Link by Stripe one-time card numbers and shows an approval card before anything is charged. Connecting an account never grants write access automatically.
Via the iOS/Android app, muse.ai on the web, WhatsApp (reduced features), and Mac (files, Messages, Calendar, Notes access — opt-in per app).
An X user spotted identical filenames and a near-identical SOUL.md; Meta’s Nat Friedman replied Muse is “definitely heavily inspired” by OpenClaw.
Meta requires a payment card to activate even the free tier — “no card, no access.” It’s needed for approval-gated purchases via Link.
